Claim For Credit or Refund of Property Taxes
(538-H Circuit Breaker)

Some Low or Fixed Income Homeowners may file a claim for property tax relief on the amount of property taxes paid on the household occupied during the preceding calendar year.

 

Who Qualifies:

·       Any person 65 years of age or older.

·       Any totally disabled person who is the head of household.

·       A resident of and domiciled in this state during the entire preceding calendar year whose gross household income for such year does not exceed $12,000.


 

You may obtain the necessary form (538-H) from the Tulsa County Assessor's Office or by contacting the Oklahoma Tax Commission at (918) 581-2399.

To receive this benefit, you may return the completed Form 538-H to the Tulsa County Assessor's Office where a receipt for payment of taxes will be attached before forwarding to the Oklahoma Tax Commission, or if you have all necessary attachments you may mail the completed form to the
