Claim For Credit or Refund of Property Taxes
(538-H Circuit Breaker)

Some Low or Fixed Income Homeowners may file a claim for property tax relief on the amount of property taxes paid on the household occupied during the preceding calendar year.

 

Who Qualifies:

  1. Any person sixty-five (65) years of age or older or any totally disabled person,
  2. who is the head of household,
  3. who is a resident of and domiciled in this state during the entire preceding calendar year,
  4. and whose gross household income does not exceed twelve thousand dollars ($12,000).

You may obtain the necessary form (538-H) from the Tulsa County Assessor's Office or by contacting the Oklahoma Tax Commission at (918) 581-2399.

To receive this benefit, you may return the completed Form 538-H to the Tulsa County Assessor's Office where a receipt for payment of taxes will be attached before forwarding to the Oklahoma Tax Commission, or if you have all necessary attachments you may mail the completed form to the
