2009 NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS AND MOBILE HOME OWNERS The Tulsa County Assessor's Office located on the northwest corner of Sixth and Denver, Second Floor of the Tulsa County Administration Building will be open from 8:30 through 5:00 weekdays, excluding holidays, from the beginning of the year through March 15th to receive the following: Applications for Homestead Exemptions; Double Homestead Exemptions for persons whose GROSS income is under $20,000 (65 or older who have previously applied for Double Homestead DO NOT need to re-apply, all under the age of 65 need to re-apply every year); Senior Citizen Valuation Freeze applications for those 65 years or older and whose GROSS income is under $54,700; Mobile Home Renditions; Agricultural Renditions which include Agricultural Tax Exemption and to assist with completing the Refund form of up to $200 for Senior Citizens or totally disabled citizens whose income is under $12,000. To be allowed for the current year, the Single Homestead Exemption MUST be applied for by March 15th of the current year, for any Real Estate Property which changed ownership during the previous year or before. If filed after March 15th, the Single Homestead Exemption would be allowed for the following year. Your Deed must be notarized by January 1st and filed in the County Clerk’s Office by February 1st to be allowed the Single Homestead Exemption for the current year. If you did not move, or change your Deed in any way; then, you will not be required to re-file the application. If you qualify, you may only file for the Double Homestead Exemption and the Senior Freeze of Taxable Value between the beginning of the year and March 15th. Or, if you receive an Assessment Notice, you have 30 Calendar Days from the date on the Notice to file for the Double Homestead Exemption and “Freeze”, if you qualify. You MUST bring your financial data or proof of income for the previous year (example: 1099’s and W2’s for all income sources). If you are filing for Homestead Exemption on a Mobile Home, you MUST bring your recorded Property Deed and your Title to the Mobile Home. To have your Mobile Home assessed, you will need to bring the Title or Registration.
